What inspired you to become a lighting designer?
‘I’ve always been fascinated by the way light can transform a space,’ Peter says. ‘As a child, I would spend hours playing with flashlights and experimenting with different lighting effects.’
As he grew older, Peter’s interest in lighting only deepened. He went on to study lighting design in college and eventually landed his first job at a prominent design firm.
What do you think sets you apart from other lighting designers?
‘I think it’s my ability to balance aesthetics with functionality,’ Peter explains. ‘I believe that lighting should not only look beautiful, but also serve a purpose. Whether it’s highlighting a specific feature or creating a certain ambiance, I strive to create lighting designs that are both functional and visually appealing.’

Can you tell us about some of your favorite projects?
‘One of my favorite projects was a restaurant design I worked on a few years ago,’ Peter says. ‘The client wanted to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, and I was able to use lighting to achieve that. I used a combination of table lamps, floor lamps, and overhead lighting to create a cozy and intimate space.’
Another favorite project of Peter’s was a retail space he designed for a high-end fashion brand. ‘The client wanted to create a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere, and I was able to use lighting to achieve that,’ Peter explains. ‘I used a combination of LED lights and dimmers to create a warm and inviting space that showcased the brand’s products in the best possible light.’
Peter’s passion for lighting design is evident in every project he takes on. Whether it’s a residential or commercial space, he approaches each project with the same level of attention to detail and dedication to creating a space that is both functional and visually appealing.
